When I was a child, I loved Nestle Toll House cookie dough and here I’ve come up with a copy cat recipe that’s so much like it that I haven’t had to buy cookie dough in years. They’re chewy, but if you’re anything like my hubby and you like them a little harder, you can leave them in the over an extra two minutes for a crisper cookie.

My little Cookin’ Cayla followed all of my instructions to test this recipe. When we finished, we had a delightful cookie that was oh so much like that Nestle Toll House Cookie I loved as a child. Not to mention, I've been looking so long for a model chocolate chip cookie to make a candle mold and these cookies were identical to what I want my chocolate chip cookie wax tarts to look like. So my next venture will definitely be creating an identical candle mold using these nice cookies!

Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies Copy Cat Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups (Minus 1 TBSP) occident or unbleached flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
2 eggs
1 cup butter (room temperature)
1-1/2 cups raw sugar
3 tsp vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips (I used Nestle)

Instructions:

Cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time and mix well.
Mix together the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Mix until you have a sticky, moist dough that you could roll into a ball with your hands.
Add your chocolate chips
Form the dough into balls about the size of a golf ball and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.  Place no more than 6 cookies on one cookie sheet at a time.

Bake in a 375˚ oven for approximately 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie.

(*Baker's Note: The baking time will vary based on your oven. Watch for a cookie that begins to turn golden brown around the edges)
